The great majority of advertising agencies and the people who work for them never come close to making a Super Bowl commercial. Goodby Silverstein & Partners doesn’t have this problem. GS&P is in a league of its own. The legendary San Francisco agency has not one, but four spots airing during Sunday’s big game. This is the second time they’ve accomplished this. Goodby also ran four spots during the 2018 Adverganza.
The entertaining commercials from one of America’s best ad agencies have star power, storytelling, and ultra-high production values. Will they become fan favorites? Will sales pop off and allow the brands to bank a solid return on their Super Bowl investments? Will mullets experience a resurgence? These are not rhetorical questions.
In an interesting promotional twist, Kawasaki partnered with Great Clips to give 15,000 fans a free mullet ahead of Sunday’s game. “Great Clips and Kawasaki share an appreciation for this iconic hairstyle,” said Bob O’Brien Director of Marketing at Kawasaki. “We are thrilled to partner with Great Clips to spread the mullet love and celebrate the launch of the all-new Kawasaki RIDGE.”
