Portland agency, ID Branding, is currently looking for a Senior Digital/Brand Strategist to join their team.
Details about the position are posted on LinkedIn.
Disclosure Statement: I rent office space from ID and ID also hires me on a contract basis to write copy.
I recently had to chance to talk to Dennis Hahn, one of three partners in the agency, about this opening and why it’s proving somewhat difficult to find the perfect candidate.
Hahn said that he’s looking for a person with old school fundamentals and new school chops. Not in those words, exactly, but that’s the idea. It’s seems there’s a shortage of people with both skill sets, but plenty of people with one, or the other skill set.
Of course, this is a topic we’ve taken up before. See Tradigital Talent Is Still Rare In These Parts, Tossing Digital And Traditional In The Air and Migration To Digital Not As Tough As The Oregon Trail, But Still Tough.
What’s your read? Do you have the balanced attack that ID seeks? Or know someone who does? It’s a great place to work–nice, talented people; beautiful offices in an historic downtown building; good mix of clients, etc.
Speaking of clients, take a look at this project for Nike that ID recently completed. And here’s the video that shows what’s in the box.
