According to The Wall Street Journal, Canada’s MDC Partners Inc. has agreed to acquire Los Angeles-based creative agency 72 and Sunny.
After six years of being independent, 72 and Sunny agreed to sell so it could expand overseas (it already has an office in Amsterdam) and beef up on digital capabilities. With MDC’s help, “we will be able to grow faster and in a bigger way,” says Matt Jarvis, chief strategy officer at 72 and Sunny.
Here’s a look at some recent work from the shop:
“We are in constant pursuit to find the next Crispin because they have been one of the most successful agencies economically,” says Miles Nadal, MDC’s chief executive officer.
