If you haven’t seen it yet, blogger and all-around media thinker Robin Sloan has created an 8-minute Flash movie called EPIC 2014 that you may find interesting. Or cool. Or scary. Or ridiculous. Either way, I dare you to watch and not post a comment.
About Wade Sturdivant
Currently jumping on the creatives-go-client-side bandwagon as Executive Director of Creative Content for MGM Resorts. Wade’s years of ad agency experience include award-winning stints at DDB, Publicis, The Richards Group and Leo Burnett in Tokyo, Japan. Along the way, he’s shot commercials on four continents, worked with heads of state and U.S. Army generals and met Carrot Top in-person. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him at home playing guitar, building guitars and scouring the internet for (duh) more guitars.
Well done piece. It’s conclusion seems a bit dramatic. I can’t quite see the Times capitulating to Google and conceding the online news space. But then again, I’m no Watts Wacker (futurist).
Yeah, it is a little dramatic, but it made me think. Especially considering the content of the very next post (WSJ.com Is Nowheresville).
