People in Texas sometimes speak in code. For instance, when ordering a beer, you might skip all formality and simply say, “Shiner.” When you like the beer a lot, you might say, “It’s a good’ ern.”
In Texas, Shiner is an iconic beer brand. The advertising for this beer brand has also been handled by some of the state’s best creative agencies. It’s now time to add a new one to the list. Austin-based Bakery has provided the brand with a new campaign that showcases Austin and its people.
Kathryn Lundstrom, Adweek’s senior news reporter based in Austin, notes that the spot features a scene at women-owned la Barbecue and another at the Circuit of the Americas featuring a Shiner-branded Formula 1 race car.
Austin musician Black Joe Lewis and pro golfer, Shiner brand ambassador, and LGBTQ+ activist Tisha Alyn also makes an appearance. I can’t say for sure, but it appears that Alyn is showing off her skills at Dreamland in Dripping Springs.
Shiner Bock is made by Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, a small town to the east of San Antonio and southeast of Austin.
