Laporte’s comments about CNN missing the point by broadcasting news from SXSW on TV is interesting, but I think he’s missing the point. Broadcast isn’t for the inside the Austin bubble audience, which is miniature. It’s for the millions of people who have never been to SXSW, but stand to be impacted by the developments there through the games they play and sites they frequent.
