This is the dessert tray taken to a new level. First, we pizza, then we party!
Also, the box presents as a gift. It looks like something you might want to give, and that’s saying a lot for a pizza. Finally, the ornament at the end is a nice touch. “No one out pizzas the Hut.”
How The Sausage Pizza Gets Made
Director Trevor Shepard applied WoodShop’s characteristic eye for detail in this spot.
“My love for Christmas decorations is barely eclipsed by my love of shooting food. When given the opportunity to have fun with nostalgic Pizza Hut memorabilia, we decided to run with it and create a spot full of holiday cheer and piping hot pizza.”
Shepard and the team at WoodShop worked alongside Pizza Hut and GSDM. “Their full support of our creative vision was the gift of the season.”
“Shooting a holiday spot is always a highlight of the year,” says Shepard. “With this year being a bit of a train-wreck, we thought why not shoot the Christmas train getting wrecked by a self-opening three-layer pizza box?”
