What if you lived in a nation where the president incited racial violence on a daily basis? What if you lived in a nation where feeble-minded recipients of this twisted messaging were all too willing to spray the place with bullets from an automated weapon?
What if…?
The fact is the current president of the United States warned us how it would be: “You know what else they say about my people? The polls, they say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like incredible.”
It is like incredible.
What totally blows is Trump needn’t arm himself or murder anyone. His followers will volunteer to do the shooting and whatever other foul deeds he wants done dirt cheap.
An Invasion of Trump’s Facebook Ads
According to The Guardian, Trump’s re-election campaign has characterized immigration as an “invasion” in more than 2,000 Facebook ads this year.
Those ads have been viewed as many as 5,559,801 times by Facebook users and cost the Trump campaign as much as $241,601 to promote. Trump has spent more than $8.7M on Facebook advertising this year to date.
Let’s examine the president’s re-election pitch on Facebook:
We have an INVASION! So we are BUILDING THE WALL to STOP IT. Dems will sue us. But we want a SAFE COUNTRY! It’s CRITICAL that we STOP THE INVASION. Nancy Pelosi and Democrats have not negotiated in good faith to fund a wall at our Southern Border, proving that OBSTRUCTION is far more important to them than YOUR SAFETY. I cannot allow America’s safety and security to be put at risk any longer. We need the wall, and I must put AMERICA FIRST!
ALL CAPS much?
OUR DISGUST runneth over.
Send Him Back
Trump visited El Paso on Wednesday, but he wasn’t welcomed.
Rep. Veronica Escobar, the Democratic congresswoman who represents the city, declined to meet with Trump, telling CNN “I refuse to be a prop.”
None of the eight victims of the El Paso mass shooting still being treated at University Medical Center agreed to meet with President Trump when he visited the city either. The hospitalized patients also declined to meet with Sen. Ted Cruz, who came to UMC on Wednesday.
