Hyatt is a leading hospitality brand the world over. Therefore, inclusion is a core brand value and it shows.
According to Campaign, MullenLowe’s new anthem is the hotel chain’s first TV spot in a decade. The commercial makes its TV debut tonight during the 89th Academy Awards.
Grammy-nominated singer Andra Day provides the soundtrack, a new rendition of the Hal David/Burt Bacharach classic “What the World Needs Now.”
Filmed in Thailand, Morocco and Spain earlier this year, the commercial is a part of a global platform for the chain that stresses community and understanding. A spokesperson for Hyatt said the ad was in the works long before President Donald Trump’s ban on refugees and people from seven Muslim-majority countries.
