What’s your story? Whatever it is, Netflix wants to connect you and your story to one of its stories, and the 21st-century studio has so many stories to play.
Here’s a commercial all about it.
While the commercial isn’t much of a story, When ScarJo speaks, people do listen.
In her gravel voice, she posits that “maybe you don’t know what it’s like to be the most powerful person in the room.” She continues, “maybe you don’t know what it takes to lead a team.”
She concludes, “Sure, there’s a lot you may not know, but that’s exactly what makes a story worth watching.”
That’s an odd conclusion from the brand. I thought people mostly tuned in to Netflix to escape reality for a few hours. But according to the script, people are tuning in to learn things they don’t know.
I do love a good documentary on occasion. I highly recommend watching this film on whatever platform you can.

What you just witnessed was either annoying or amazing. It might also be meaningless for those few individuals living an analog and unquantified life.
Patagonia Films Addresses A Critical Public Need
I’ve been a big fan of Patagonia’s gear for decades. I never expected the company to also outperform every other brand (inside and outside of outdoor recreation) in the storytelling realm.
Patagonia Films continues to bring forward one brilliant film after the next. This one will debut in nine days.
Maybe you don’t know what it’s like to fight for the land and the culture you love. Maybe you do. Maybe you seek escape via Netflix. Maybe you seek escape via the wilderness.
