Right now, bus loads of hopeful bootstrappers are making their way to Austin for SXSW. And by busloads, I mean busloads, thanks to the ingenuity of one Elias Bizannes, founder StartupBus.

Now for the North American version…At this time, geeks with dreams are motoring in coaches from New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Cincinnati, Florida, Louisiana, Mexico, Las Vegas, Washington, DC and Mexico en route to Austin.
According to Online Media Daily, Alexandra Askot, an art director at MRM Worldwide in Manhattan is on the bus from New York, competing with the other riders for attention, a cash prize and the chance to secure venture capital for her team’s idea.
