Problem: The proliferation of the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito in Brazil, the carrier of such harmful diseases such as Zika, Dengue, Yellow Fever and Chikungunya.
Solution: Habitat For Humanity and BETC São Paulo teamed up to create an innovative way to attack the mosquitos.
The posters dissolve during the rain, releasing a powerful yet environmental friendly larvicide that kills the mosquito before they hatch.
To date, Habitat Brazil has helped build 5,000 homes, improved 2,045 homes, provided water access to 480 families and helped 2,420 families secure land tenure.
