Too many award shows are back-slapping affairs where hungover creative directors drop a bean in a cup when they see a campaign they like. There’s a much higher standard for the industry’s output—the intended audience for the work. Did they bite or did they ignore? That’s the ultimate test of any ad campaign.
Having said that, there are a handful of award shows that are either so prestigious (Cannes, One Show, Communications Arts) or otherwise remarkable, that they deserve consideration from agencies seeking greater recognition. Epica is one such award show, because Epica is the only global creative prize awarded by journalists working for marketing and communications magazines around the world.
Launched 31 years ago, today Epica is an international celebration of creativity, attracting thousands of entries from more than 70 countries.
More than 60 editors and senior journalists serve on the Epica jury, from AdPulp in the U.S. to Werben & Verkaufen in Germany and everywhere in between.

The awards ceremony will be held this year on November 16 at the Meistersaal in Berlin, a historic concert hall built in 1910.
Submissions end on September 31st. Act today. It’s time to show me (a juror) and the world what you got.
