In this new episode of Ad Chatter, Dan Goldgeier and I discuss the value of Jack Morton’s new training program, Camp Jack; “Black to Yellow,” the new travel and tourism campaign from South Dakota and Wyoming; a new mouth-watering commercial for the National Restaurant Association; what the B Corp designation means for brands; and the return of the NFL to Arrowhead Stadium.

Topic One: Camp Jack is a creative Bootcamp where emerging makers from all backgrounds hone their talent, discover their path, and make work that kick-starts their careers. And it’s free to attend.
Jack Morton is best known for making brand experiences, brand acts, integrated marketing, digital transformation, sponsorship marketing, and employee experience.
Topic Two: Typically, neighboring states compete for visitors and the travel and tourism dollars they bring. So, it’s refreshing to see WY and SD work together on a regional approach to the problem.
Topic Three: Speaking of the need for experiences, one that’s been missing for months is the restaurant experience, where a crowd of people gathers to enjoy the smells, sights, and sounds of a happening neighborhood bistro. The Richards Group reminds us of what it’s like in the following commercial.
Topic Four: B Corps are standing tall today.
Charlotte’s Web, the leading CBD wellness brand, is now a B Corp. Since 2006, more than 60,000 companies globally have participated in the B Impact Assessment, but only 3,499 have been certified B Corp to date, which is indicative of the rigorous standards set by B Lab in order to become a certified B Corp.
“Becoming a certified B Corp was important to Charlotte’s Web as it aligns with our vision for conducting our business, from seed to shelf, to benefit the greater good in society, our environment, for our employees and our communities,” said Deanie Elsner, Charlotte’s Web’s CEO. “This was a comprehensive, precise, and illuminating process, teaching us where we are strong and where we can focus on continuous improvement.”
Founded in 2006, the B Corp community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose.
Topic Five: The NFL is back. The Chiefs dismantled the Texans in front of 17,000+ masked and socially distanced live fans in Kansas City last night.
