I used to collect beer cans as a kid. So, I know an iconic local beer brand when I see one. Old Style, Iron City, Olympia, Pearl, and Yuengling—with beers like these, who needs PBR?
Now that we’ve established that, some ad news…
After a competitive review, Minneapolis agency Colle+McVoy has been selected to oversee strategic planning, creative, media planning and buying, social media, and public relations for Grain Belt.
Grain Belt Premium beer recently received international recognition at the 2014 U.S. Open Beer Championship by winning the silver medal in the American Lager/Pilsner category.
“This is a very promising time for the Grain Belt brand and we were looking for a partner who could deliver out-of-the-box thinking,” said Michelle Wood, marketing director, August Schell Brewing Company, which bought Grain Belt after the legendary Minnesota brewery closed in 2001.
I’ve enjoyed several of Schell’s beers in years past. Let’s get a taste of their broadcast style.
“Colle+McVoy is a great creative and cultural fit and they showed passion for the brand and category,” said Wood.
